GUIDELINES FOR CIRCULATION OF EVENTS AND 
INFORMATION ON THE PRESBYTERY

The Presbytery Quick Link E-mail is a process whereby information and messages that require immediate
 action are circulated to all presbytery contact addresses available.   

What can be circulated

- Urgent announcements from
- Presbytery Chair or Secretary
- Presbytery Committees,
- Conference Executive Secretary,
- General Council
- Reminders or Notices of Presbytery Committee sponsored events
- Reminders or Notices of events from U.T.C., Chaplaincies or Mission Units
- Announcements in relation to health or death of persons known to Presbytery

WHAT WILL NOT BE CIRCULATED:

- Notices of congregational sales or suppers. (These will be included on the Calendar of Events which goes out in the Presbytery mailing and is updated on a regular basis on the Presbytery web site.).
- Press Releases from individuals must be authorized by the Communications Committee and/or Presbytery officials first.
- Information on events which contravene the polity of The United Church of Canada

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

- Individual congregations or community ministries wishing to advertise fund raisers are free to access the E-mail addresses listed on the Presbytery web site Address Book for their own use.

- Community events with Outreach or Justice themes sponsored by individual congregations or community ministries may be circulated by Presbytery if they have been authorized by one of the Presbytery committees.
